Rick Jodzio
President
Rick Jodzio played professional hockey (NHL and WHA) for six years, before starting his career in transportation. He began by working for a Canadian truckload carrier as a dispatcher, and was then promoted to Operations Manager and later to Director of Operations. Rick started Frontline in Toronto, Ontario in 1989, and then opened the U.S. division in Southern California in 1991 as a freight forwarder.
Rick has been instrumental in guiding Frontline to its current level of success. He is known for leading by example, and promotes an upbeat environment combined with an old-fashioned work ethic. Rick encourages his employees to question their approach – no matter how successful – and not be afraid to try new things. His current focus is improving the customer experience through enhancements to our company website and transit times. Rick’s favorite pastimes include sports, travel, and reading.

Matt Hunter
Executive Vice President
Matt Hunter started his career in the LTL industry in 1997. During his college years he worked the dock as a part time employee for ABF and Consolidated Freightways. After graduating from Cal Poly Pomona he began his sales career at Yellow Transportation, and was later recruited by Bullet Freight Systems.
Matt joined Frontline Freight in 2009 as Director of Sales, promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and currently holds title as Executive Vice President. Matt’s primary focus is blending the sales and operations team together to attain growth and yield management. Matt enjoys Crossfitting, county music, and boating in Lake Havasu, AZ.

Tony Esparza
Vice President / Operations
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Tony Esparza spent time as Clubhouse Attendant for the Dodgers prior to embarking on a career in transportation. He worked at Daylight Transport for nearly four years before joining Frontline in the fall of 1996. Since then, Tony has expanded his operations skillset to include dock management, warehousing, city / linehaul dispatch, brokerage, claims, IT, agent relations, and accounting.
For the past two decades, as Frontline evolved from a small freight forwarder to a truly multi-faceted transportation company, Tony has helped develop and refine our operation. He currently holds the position of Vice President of Operations and his focus is on technology and partnership. When he is not at the office, which is rare, Tony is usually hiking or watching a game at Dodger Stadium.

Lori Hooper
Executive Vice President / Sales & Strategy
Lori Hooper joined Frontline Freight as Director of Strategic Development in 2012. During the past seven years she has been responsible for growing and maintaining our 3PL relationships. Lori currently holds the position of Executive Vice President of Sales and Strategy.
Prior to joining Frontline Freight, Lori enjoyed various sales and management positions at GlobalTranz and Daylight Transport. In her free time she enjoys traveling, Crossfit, and spending time with friends and family.
